It’s half term here this week, and I love nothing more than involving the kiddos in making healthy meal choices. They thought I’d gone bonkers when I suggested egg and chips for breakfast
I can’t take any credit for the creativeness behind this, though. I first saw this ages ago somewhere online. Pinterest, maybe? You know when you park those ideas in the back of your brain as a ‘must-do-someday’. Today was the day!
Fruity Egg & Chips
- 1 crisp, crunchy apple, sliced into chips
- 1 juicy ripe pear, sliced into chips
- Half a pot of Muller Light vanilla yoghurt
- Half an apricot (I used tinned, in juice)
At Slimming World, canned apricots in juice carry a syn value, with 100g being 2.5 syns.
This apricot half weighed 15g, therefore 0.3 syns. I counted this as 0.5 syns in my total for today.
I’m not sure who loved it more. Me, or the kids!
